Food Report - Fat

What is Fat?

Fat is a substance which is found in animals and vegetables and is used to cook food like hamburgers and fries. It can be harmful and gets your tummies up a size.                   

Why do we need some fat in our body?                  
We need some fat in our body to make our immune system run and grow stronger.  We also need fat in our body to help all the cells work and run. Fat is also an essential nutrient, with a host of important functions within our body.  To make our body healthy without any fat we should allow good nutritious things to go in our body.   

Saturated, polyunsaturated, monounsaturated and trans fat.
Saturated fat increases cholesterol and is found in animals protein. Polyunsaturated fat has an important role in brain and eye function. It is found in things like butter, salmon, seeds etc.
Monounsaturated fat found in natural food such as milk, nuts, red meat etc. and appears to protect against heart problems.

Foods that are high in fat
Olive oil, butter, chocolate, candy, avocado, cheese, almonds, burgers and last but not least pizza.
Eight low fat foods
Rice, noodles, grains, pastas, cereals, bread, low fat crackers, hot oatmeal.              

Conclusion
Fat is something good to learn about. Eating too much fat is very bad for your precious body, but you need small amounts `of fat to help your bodies function properly. Therefore, we all need a little fat in our diets.
