Astronomy Acrostic Poem

Astronomers are people who study space.

Saturn is the 2nd biggest planet.

Titan is one of Saturn's moons.

Rockets need gas to take off to space.

Orbit is another word for rotation.

Neptune is the last planet in line.

On the moon there is no air.

Mercury is the closest planet to the sun.

Yellow stars can brighten up the sky.

Alma

Once upon a time there was a young girl named Alma. She went skipping to an abandoned town where no one lived so Alma ducked down because it was a haunted town.

Alma knocked into a big black wall with people's name on it. Next Alma picked up white chalk with lots of blood on it. Just as she wrote her name on it.

When she looked around there was a doll that looked exactly like her but creepy. It could blink as well. Alma blinked and the doll just disappeared.

Alma crept to the door and tried to open the door but it was jammed. She made a big snowball and threw it at the door as she stomped angrily away. Suddenly the door creaked opened, so Alma quietly tiptoed to the door and looked inside. But the only thing she saw was dolls on the shelves.

Alma stepped inside the creepiest shop full of scary dolls.

She walked to where the doll was and she accidently stepped on a doll that was riding a very small and rusty bike.

But when she turned around the doll disappeared so she looked on top of the shelf and the doll was there so she climbed on the shelf and touched the dolls hand and she got transported into the doll.

So she stayed in the doll for 3 years until a girl from a haunted house came. Her name was Anibal. She had red hair like blood coming from her face Alma tried to escape but she couldn’t. So she stayed still so Anibal couldn’t recognise a doll that just blinked or moved.

Anibal was surprised that this doll with very big eyes like eagle and blonde hair like Rapunzel but then Anibal told Alma she knew about the spell to turn people back to life. So she tried it on Alma and it worked so Alma was free.

Alma said inside of her mind I will never come here in this abandoned alleyway to go to a haunted town. Alma told her friends never go to this alleyway on Maich road and so Alma was really relieved that she was no longer  stuck inside of the doll.

The Robot.

When I’m  at home it is a hard life  doing the lawn mowing because it get’s me all dirty. I decided  to build a robot to do the mowing for me so my dad will give me some pocket money.

Next I went to the shed and built a robot named Jeff. The tools I used  was an old computer, sharp blades and wires to make it work. I got the remote and pressed the red button. 1 second later kaboom! The robot blew up  into a million pieces.

I stayed up all night building the robot. The next morning I took it outside then it actually started to mow the lawn. So I just relaxed and had ice cream.

When my dad got home he checked the lawn and it was soft like a pillow.

I was really nervous because I thought my dad wasn’t going to give me some pocket money.

My dad decided to give me some pocket money. My dad was so pleased we went to the city. Once we got to the sky tower to have some fun and watched some amazing fireworks blow up in the air. The people at the sky tower was amazed.

Me and my dad had a very good day and that was the day that we will not forget.

The Three Birds

Once upon a time there was a short boy named Chris. He lived with his old wrinkly Uncle Jack who looked like a witch. They lived in a very cold planet called Neptune. They tried to find a house but instead they lived in a big, scary haunted house. His bed was rough as a stone.

Chris drifted off to sleep for an hour. When he was asleep he blinked and he saw something bright. He saw three birds with colourful wings. The butterflies were big and bright. He quickly swooped down with a jar and caught the birds and butterflies. It was because other children at school was jealous of him

Suddenly he woke and he saw one cage that was open. He went out to searching for the bird. He looked in the bushes but he wasn’t there so he checked the tallest tree and he found him. He begged the bird to “Please come down!” but he just ignored him.

So he went back home and he saw two cages open. He went straight back to that tree where he just came from. He was right. The birds were there. He told them please come back but the birds did not want to come back.

So he thought to himself they do need freedom. He rushed back home like flash and opened all the jars, so the creatures could be free back home where they lived happily.

 He was very sorry for the creatures because he locked them up in the cages, so Chris visited them every morning after sleeping in his bed.

On the first day November he woke up in a happy mood. He went to the tree where the birds were. When he got there the colourful birds were having fun. They made lots of friends in the dark, deep and creepy forest.
