Valediction

So many remembered days, months and years passing by so quickly. Most bring back happy memories and other’s bring back sad memories. Sadly my journey here has come to an end.

As it was one of my best occasions coming to school for the first time at Manurewa Central school. School made me meet the deadlines and see different faces, unique locations and situations. It was quite hard for me to communicate as I was a very shy person but for me I felt confident the more I learnt together.

I remember the time when I was at the front of the stage performing. Showing that I take pride in my culture and that you should never believe people who talk about you and your culture.

One of my best moments was going to Chosen Valley camp and I want to let you know that I enjoyed doing loads of fun activities. Everything that I have done will be thought of all the time.

My teacher’s, friends and family have helped me along the way. Having so much support made me realise how important school really was. It is important because you achieve and succeed things throughout your school life.

I have been given many great opportunities during school that I am really thankful for. This is helping me to always try new things and to never give up.

I want to thank all my teachers and friends that have encouraged me to be a good learner and that have helped me come all this way as I am at a valuable level because of your amazing help. I also want to thank you for organizing me and giving me more courage so that I am ready to go to Intermediate.

My goal is to keep on learning and never quit school because if you do then you will be leading yourself to a bad life where you have no house, no job and no money and that is one big mistake that you will always regret once you do it.

I look up to Manurewa Central school. The school that I have been to for 6 years. Manurewa Central School will never be forgotten and I will dearly miss it too. I will forever remember the moments that I had while being at this school.

Maria and the Invented Robot

Wow! It was a delightful,  sunny, Saturday morning. A girl called Maria was getting ready to go to Australia with Trinity her best friend.

Maria hated vacuuming the house. She was thinking about inventions she could make so that she didn’t have to do the job. She started striding out the door and as she slammed it behind her,  she could hear her mum calling her back inside. Her mum called her into the lounge and said, “Vacuum the house please for some pocket money.” Maria was broke so she needed to do it for some money.

She had a family vacation to go to but there was no other way she could get there because she had no money. She decided she would do the chores but then she thought in her mind about what she could do so she didn’t have to do it. But her mind was soooo blank....

She hated vacuuming so much that she then decided to use her time up to make an electric robot to do the vacuuming for her. When she could be in Australia in the shed building a gigantic fort to sleep in for the night.

At that moment she had nearly finished making her robot. She used 4 steak knives, a blender, laser torch, bobie pins and batteries. She tried to turn it on but it was not working. She placed it on the ground and then let it go. It then cut out. Oh no! there is something wrong so she took all the parts apart and then built it from scratch.

It was ready to go, she took it into the lounge and powered it on, with all her strength she let it go and watched it suck up all the dirt, crumbs and mess squishing in the carpet. She was thinking about all the time it would take to vacuum the house without having a helpful, fantastic robot to clean for her.

It was becoming night as she was amazed and happy that her invention worked. She put her robot beside her and then layed down with her head sinking into the warm pillow. She snuggled up tight to the blanket and then drifted of to sleep.

It became morning and she was amazed at the sight that laid before her eyes, waking up to rainbows surrounding her. She was wandering what was going on but she couldn’t tell because it was so sunny that every time she glanced around she would get blurred in the eye from the sun and she could not see properly.

Later on she was able to go to Australia so she packed up all her things and got dropped of at the airport. 3 hours later she landed in Awesome, Amazing Australia. She rambled passed the crowd and finally she was at her Aunty Shayla’s house having the funnest time in her life.

Unfortunately Maria needed to go out so she got her things together and then drove to the beach, she did fun things like , running in the sand, swimming in the water, building sandcastles and sunbathing in the terrific sun.

By now she was tired after such a long day, as it was time to go home and rest up. Her surprise was so good. She had the best day ever thinking what it would be like if she was back in her country being bored!!!Blue Robot Vector Art - Free Public Domain Stock Photo - CC0 ImagesUnicorn - Free images on Pixabay

No Smoking Tobacco

Smoking as you know is bad for your human body so therefore I believe that no one should smoke tobacco.  The government in many countries have tried to put the price of smoking higher so the less amount of people will smoke.

First no one should smoke tobacco because you can get major heart problems so it could slow your heart rate down and make you less active. Lung cancer can also be caused by smoking tobacco so then that could lead to blood clot . Blood clots can make blood stop flowing through your body and then you may have the risk of dying.

Also it not only affects you it affects the people around you because when you let out the smoke from your mouth it goes in the air and other people could inhale the secondhand smoke. Lighting cigarettes around other people increases the risk of many breathing complications and infections. If you smoke around kids you are encouraging  them because then they are most likely to smoke when they are older.

I think that smoking tobacco can affect your fitness in many ways. First,  it can decrease your body's ability to use oxygen effectively. Next, the nicotine and carbon monoxide from smoking can make your blood sticky and your arteries may become narrow. Also, narrow arteries reduce the flow to your heart, muscles and other body organs, making fitness harder.

Smoking can make you have mental illness because the nicotine in cigarettes is addictive.Nicotine addiction is hard to beat because it changes your brain and functions differently. The brain develops extra nicotine receptors to accommodate the large doses of nicotine from tobacco. When the brain stops getting the nicotine it’s used to, the result is nicotine withdrawal. You can get issues with mentalness by smoking tobacco because it has chemicals that are bad for us in it.

So I strongly recommend that no one should smoke because you can get health problems, mental illness and also impact on other people’s health.

The Black Hat

There was an ordinary, young, and short  boy who had no one to socialize with.  He lived in a village down in a deep, damp, dark forest with his old grandmother who was mute, wise and tall.

Unfortunately there wasn’t much things this young boy could do, so one day he set to explore the forest . He walked until he saw something gleaming out of the corner of his eyes. He walked a couple more steps and then stopped. It was a black hat peeking through the side of the gigantic brown tree.  At that moment he reached down with his long fingers and grabbed the hat. As he glanced at it, suddenly beautiful things started to emerge out of the hat and drop onto the hard ground.

Surprisingly it was creatures like white birds, colourful butterflies and outstanding lady bugs. He was so amazed . “This hat is the best!” he explained.  He put the hat on and never took it off.  Immediately the boy caught the doleful creatures, put them in  rusty, creaky cages and carried them home. As he strode through the dreadful,  forest with mud flicking up the back of his gold shoes, he slid around in the wet, moist mud, with the  freezing,  wind blowing past him. He could smell the fragrance of the frosty grass that was growing through the flooded glimmering gardens.

Finally he arrived at his house. The boy wiped off the mud on his shoes and tiptoed like a mouse to his room with not a single sound. The boy put the animals up on his shiny, sparkling silver bench for display. He was fascinated by the colours, textures and features. He loved the hat so much that he would never take it off his head. Everytime he had lunch or dinner he put the hat on, but when it was night he would take it off and lay it down beside him. He gently laid it beside him. The boy then drifted of to sleep and snuggled into his warm, snugly, comfortable bed, dreaming of what life would be like if there was so much wonderful things to do and if there was sunlight. Meanwhile he started opening up his eyes. The boy woke up amazed at the sight that laid before his eyes.

He got the shock of his life waking up to strange things crawling and flying on his smooth face. He loved these creatures. The boy then got the poor little creatures altogether and put them in a big, peaceful and scary box. Finally he thought to himself. ‘I should let them be free’, so he took them outside and opened up the creepy, dark box. He watched the creatures slowly fly and crawl away in front of a pitch black shadow in the dark behind them.

By now they were set free in the air flapping and fluttering under the horizon through the dark, dusty grey fog.  The creatures colourfulness was blending in with the stars of the night sky. While the little boy was watching them fly over the rough, noisy sea, listening to the birds chirping away.

Camp - Flying Fox

Hi, my name is Trinity and I will be telling you about an amazing activity. It is the flying fox.

First you need to make sure that you have a harness on. Then make sure that it is tight enough so it doesn’t loosen off you.

You need to have a trolley string because they are what makes you roll down the zip line. Next you will be called up the stairs to do the beginner flying fox. You will get hooked up then off you go.

When you land you go up a little hill to the next zipline because there is two of them. This one is much funner.

It is really amazing and a bit scary because it looks like you are going to fall in the yuck mud water. It is something that you will want to be able to experience!!!
