Bush Walk

We had just arrived at the beautiful scenery of Camp Sladdin and hopped off the bus. I glanced up to the big hills above and gasped, “I will never ever make it up that hill!” 10 minutes later... “I will make it up this hill and I will win and everyone else will lose and all the Dragons will be victorious!!!!!!”

We headed up the hill. Ooh!   Did I mention the kids in my group were: Christian, Venya, Courtney, Brylee and Zhyon. Remember what I said earlier on about winning umm...ya we actually didn’t win but the view was amazing!

On the way down we kind of lost Christian but we soon found him! When we got down we had some delicious lunch and sooner than I knew it we went back to school. My day was truly fantabulous!!!!!!

What A Splash!

 It was a cold, windy day. The breezy wind was whistling, the dark grey the clouds were stormy. Suddenly ring! Ring! Ring! Ring! The bell rang like a tiger roaring. We quickly went outside then we quietly walked to the deep pool. We quickly changed into our swimming togs then jumped into the pool bang! What a splash.

             

We ran as fast as we could to the other side. Sometimes we slipped as we ran. After that we were blowing big bubbles and kicking. Later on we did freestyle swimming.

  Next we went to the fun and wet, slippery water slide. We first got into a line then we voted for our team name which was the Titans. After that we made our team cheer which was, “We! Are! The! Titans! We! Are! The! Titans! The! Mighty! Mighty! Titans! The! Mighty! Mighty! Titans!  Later on, it was finally my turn. I ran as quick as I could, then glided on the water slide like a feathery eagle soaring above the big blue sky. We kept sliding and gliding and falling on the water slide until we switched places.

After that we went with kind Mrs Hooker. We first got given cups. We poured wobbly water in the cups then we got our own cups to put on our small hairy heads. We had a challenge to be the first group with the most water but we had to pour water from our heads. We had competitions  like the cups filled with water on our backs racing but we moved as slow as a sticky slimy snail.  Ring! Ding! The bell rang like an explosion. We switched places and we went with Mrs Hooker again.

We first got into groups of five we had to use the sponge to pour the water in the bucket there was lots of water. It was like a million water Bancho Balloons. Our team came 2nd place, next we used tiny Banco Balloons. We partnered up with somebody. The partner on the far side had the Bancho Balloons. We had to catch the Bancho Balloon splash! The balloons already started splashing and popping. The noise it made was like dynamite blowing up.

 Later on the last thing we did was go to the pools again. We floated, swam and played. We had fun.

Mud Slide

Woo hoo! Did you see how fast I was going? I felt like I was on a motor bike. It was cool but the water is smelly and slimy and squishy at the very very bottom. It is the most grossest thing I've ever felt.  

It was nice and quiet under  the water but when out of the water it is really noisy like a sound of a siren! It was noisy because everyone was yelling, screaming and cheering people on. My ears felt like they were going to blow up or fall off, that's how noisy it was.

What we even get to bomb? Oosh ba boom, did mine go high! It felt like it did! That one went high! Ohhhh, do we have to go now?

Camp - Flying Fox

Hi, my name is Trinity and I will be telling you about an amazing activity. It is the flying fox.

First you need to make sure that you have a harness on. Then make sure that it is tight enough so it doesn’t loosen off you.

You need to have a trolley string because they are what makes you roll down the zip line. Next you will be called up the stairs to do the beginner flying fox. You will get hooked up then off you go.

When you land you go up a little hill to the next zipline because there is two of them. This one is much funner.

It is really amazing and a bit scary because it looks like you are going to fall in the yuck mud water. It is something that you will want to be able to experience!!!

Wild Wet Day!

On a steaming hot day there was interesting and exciting activity at school.  There was screaming, laughing and mostly the spirits of excitement.  The water in the pool was glistening like the stars in the dark, night sky, and how the water flows like the waves of the sea.  The water was also pretty cold like the ice in Antarctica.

I was ready to feel the water running through my feet.  I then hopped in and swam one whole metre of the narrow pool.  I was so cold that I couldn’t move.  Meanwhile it was time to go out of the pool and move to our next wet activity.  Next it was the slippery water slide. It was placed on the huge ledge on the field, so it felt like it was a real water slide.

I felt anxious like if I forgot my homework when the teacher specifically asked to bring our homework the next day.  I was ready to leap into the slippery doom. I ran and ran then slid on my belly trying to get to the end.  I always got that pesky soap in my eyes.  I did it about 5 times until we had to switch to the other activity.

 We then went to the water activities.  We did so many difficult things like holding a cup filled with water on your back.  We had so much fun things to do but then the excitement ended and it was the end of school.   I was wondering what other amusing fun we would get up to the next day.

Trash to Fashion

First we looked at writing. Then Mr Malele showed us a picture of Mr Thew wearing a funny hat. It’s like a rocket ship. Then he gave us some instructions. Finally we get to make it.

We all gathered up materials and started building. We had 45 minutes to build any hat we want. We built a cowboy hat. I got lots of tubes, bottle, cardboard tape.

Now we are done yayyyy! Time for a parade.  The judges were Mr Thew, Mrs Griffin and others teaches. It was cool. Chardonae won by doing her funny pose. We won. All our hard  work was worth it.
