Valediction

It has been a great time at MCS so far. When I first came to this school, I didn't know anyone. I was crying when I went into my first class. I wanted my Mum. But after 6 hours I was happy. I learnt that each time you go to the next year, things get harder. Junior school was hard for me. But I got good.

The middle school is kinda cool. I got good at my handwriting. But I write fast. When I got to the Senior school, I was a year 5. Everything was for the year 6s. I love using the chromebooks, it's much faster than writing! I can't wait for next year.

BUT I have to tell you EVERYTHING that has happened to me. First the junior school life. So I was bad at handwriting but I would always draw. Mrs. Tombolato was a nice teacher. She would always make me feel safe. The next year just came up really fast like a cat racing to it's home. I made sure that I didn't forget anything as I moved to Rm 4.

Rm 4 wasn't that good. Because I kept going on the yellow bench, but at least I learnt how to say ‘yellow’ properly!

I went to Rm 5 next. Mrs. Simpson is super cool! She was the nicest teacher. I loved Charlie the teddy bear. If you are good, you get to take Charlie home for only 1 DAY!

I love the senior school because I got to pat Mrs. Smith’s cute kittens! Meow meow! I would never forget that day. Because that was the first day I had ever seen a kitten- more like kittens! I would never forget that day. But I really miss those kittens. Each day I would pull out my chromebook and WORK. School, Maths, Writing, Reading, Poems, Speeches, Cards, Sayings... what else could be better than this school? My life? My dreams? My ponies? My pets? These things are important to me but School is my 2nd most important things I love. (The 1st favourite important things are cats!)

Now, I have a memory of the times with me and Venya. My favourite was when we put my cat, Snow (but call her Bell) in the barbie trolley thing and she looked so funny! Venya and I have that memory kept inside our hearts. I will never forget her. I love Funtime Lunchtime too. But Funtime Lunchtime starts whenever a tennis ball gets stuck in the lawnmower. I love School!

Remember, school is important! And cats are too! If you hate school, you hate a life goal. School is one of your life goals, but some people think that their parents are just forcing them to do something boring. School isn't boring, it's fun! And remember: EFFORT BRINGS REWARD!!!!

SPRINKLES THE ROBO-CAT

Hello. I'm Mimi Schulz and I hate cleaning the toilet.  “It needs to be clean before Friday!” Mum yelled. “Why me? Why can't Dan do it?” I whispered, “Dan has to go to high school you know that!”

My parents are a total bore. I have to do everything while my 2 big brothers and my 3 big sisters relax and do what they want. I looked at the toilet. It was dirty and it was wet. ‘Why can't Mum do it herself?’ I thought.

I glanced at the clock. 8:30 already? Dan stood up and grabbed his keys. Sally followed him and grabbed her phone. Dan walked out the door and Sally tripped. I dashed after the phone and caught it. Sally got up and looked around for her phone. She saw me walking to her and I gave Sally her phone. “Thanks,” said Sally.

I walked in my room and grabbed my thinking book. I looked at page 150 and saw my dream creation. “That's it! I can make a robo-cat that can do my work!” I said excitedly.I asked my brothers and sisters if I could use some things in their rooms. Guess what they said? “Ok. Mimi!” came the reply.

I walked to Ella’s room and looked in her junk box. “How can golden metal be junk?” I said to myself. I gently held the golden metal like it was a delicate cat., and I ran in my room and placed the metal in my spare box. I walked into Eela’s room and looked in her junk box. ‘Great nothing useful.’ I thought and when I turned around... “What are you doing in my junk?” Said Eela. “Take these instead,” Said Eela as she handed me some wires and gloves.

I realized that it was my wires. “Why did you steal my wires?!” I shouted angrily at Eela. She tried to show her best blank face. “Fine I'll tell you Mimi. So I needed to use wires and I could only find your wires.” explained Eela.

I snatched my wires and ran into my room and put the wires in my spare box. I grabbed cuckoo eyes from Dan’s room and sprinted into  and raced into my room and began making. BANG! ZZZZZZ!

“Yes YES! Its complete! I'll name you Sprinkles! You were made by Mimi Sculz!” I said.  The robot moved. “My name is Mimi Sculz! Yes complete! YES!” said the robot. “No you are Sprinkles!” “You are Sprinkles.” “I am Sprinkles?” I asked. “I am Sprinkles Sculz.” said the robot. It had finally said its name right. I grabbed my laptop, which was programmed into the robo-cat.

I typed: Sprinkles, clean the toilet. Sprinkles zoomed to the toilet and started scrubbing the toilet. “Woo! Mu - Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...” I fell asleep. I woke up hearing people screaming. “SPRINKLES!!!” I  screamed. 

I looked at every house in City Avenue. I ran across the road and found Devil’s Road and I knew that Devil’s Road was where somebody murdered my uncle. I turned back and I was lost. I heard creepy sounds and I looked at a house. ‘Help! Mum! Dad! Dan! Eela! Sally! Ella! Rus!’ I thought with fear.

“Mimi! Mimi! Mimi! Mimi! Mimi!” somebody shouted. “Mimi!?!” said a robotic sound. ‘That sounds like Sprinkles,’ I thought. So I imagined wolves behind me that was chasing me and that always makes me run. I actually ran and escaped Devil’s Road.

I ran to Aunt Kiki’s house and saw Sprinkles making cake. “Oh Sprinkles.” I smiled. What adventure awaits me? Nobody knows. And we lived happily ever after.

Yes Cats!

Yes Cats!

I believe cats make great pets, and they should be kept.

First all, cats won't give serious injuries. Some cats scratch people but won't make a bad injury like dogs because dogs kill people but cats don't.

Cats will bring prey to its owner to show that the cat thinks they are the same animal. Cats will bring presents, such as mice and birds. Cats will bring ANY animal that was once alive or that is alive.

Cats eat meat, they will eat pests or play with it! Rats and mice are pests, and a cat's prey. Cats crouch down low and waits for its target to move again. It quickly pounces or runs at top speed at its prey and the cat will pick it up and try to kill it.

A cat will use its claws to defend itself. Its claws are sharp and when it pounces its claws will be out as it has its claws in the target.

Also cats like to play. Especially with its prey. If you want to play with a cat, you can grab STRING and make it go up and down for your cat to pounce and chase on. Cats sometimes play with cat toys and even a cat house!

Maybe they should change a woman's best friend to be a cat! Cats are fun and they can keep you company. There are lots of cats that are abandoned from their owners. Help the cats by owning one, taking care of it and have each other by the side.

I love cats, so I hope you enjoy your lovely purring friend. Maybe you can have a pet cat to make cat lovers, like me feel like cats live in the right world.

There once was a little boy named Danny who lived with his Aunt, a cat named Whiskers, and his sis named Amy. He couldn't talk with his Aunt because she was deaf, only sign language worked. One day Danny took a very long walk then… he found a hat!  Danny took that hat home. It wasn't a fancy hat; it was just red like cherries.

After a while, when Danny left the hat in his room to go for a walk… Amy sneaked in Danny’s room then took that hat! She was surprised what she saw; beautiful birds flying out of the hat!

Amy trapped the beautiful birds in cages. Then she put the cages in her room. BUT she left the hat in Danny’s room. When Whiskers noticed she felt evil! So she sneaked the cages outside. She unleashed some birds, then put the cages back into Amy's room.

The very next day Danny looked at the hat.  He felt like someone had touched the hat! THEN Danny realised something… a finger mark of… Amy’s fingers! He knew that Amy had touched that hat! He saw beautiful birds fly out of the hat. He wanted the birds to go!

When Amy went in her room… she saw no birds! Danny trapped the birds right next to a volcano!  “It's like a mouse sneaked them AND stole them!” thought Amy.

“Amy! Danny! Get your shoes on! We are going to be late!” the old lady called. Amy knew her brother hid the birds, because he was always stealing her stuff! So she hid the hat which made Danny sad because he thought he had treasure. Nobody ever heard about that hat or the birds ever again. THE END!

How to Swim Explanation

IMPORTANT SWIMMING!

Hey! You! There is something important you need to know...  Swimming! It's really helpful because it can save you from danger.

So just imagine you are in a boat and you fall out and you have no life jacket can you swim? No?  Well, well, well, you should've listened to your teacher at school.

This is how you swim. First have your face flat on the water and then you have your body flat on top of the water and one of your hands too.

Put the other hand in the air and then put your hand on the water as far as you can reach and put the one in the air on top of the water.

Put the hand on the water underneath and put the other on top of the other side on top and do that with the other. After that put the other hand up in the air. Do this over and over again while kicking your feet and are you swimming? YES!

Do you want to dolphin dive? That is easy. Put your hands in the air together and jump. Then dive. You did it! Easy right?

Now one of the hardest (I still need to practise it) the starfish. Yes I know it sounds easy but trust me it’s not. There are two starfish.The easy starfish and the hard starfish.

This is the easy one: put your face in the water looking down and make your arms and legs like a star. You are done the easy starfish but now the hard. Put your head looking up into the sky and make your legs and arms like a star AGAIN. It sounds easy but no it's not.

“What do I do now swim teacher?” you might ask now. Well that is almost all the swimming lessons I know.
