HELP THE HOMELESS!

I believe that we should help the people that live on the street. Also I believe that we should donate a lot more money to help them and help them by all donating clothes and food. The government is making the prices of houses higher and higher so they become expensive. There are a lot of people that live on the streets in New Zealand everywhere.

Homeless people are getting colder and colder sitting on benches. Since it is winter, it is cold and damp every morning. I bet they get wet and after it rains they have to wait until it is sunny so they can dry. We should donate some blankets and spare clothes. They don’t have anything to eat and so I think we could spare some extra money for them too.

Another reason is their health is bad because they don’t have enough money and they are eating less and less food. They are not having food in their tummy because it is always empty.

We shouldn’t have homeless people living in such tragic ways just because the houses and food are so expensive. Homeless people should get treated the way any other person gets treated because we can’t just have people on the streets begging other people for money. Some people have been treating homeless people violently and treating them disrespectfully. Homeless people shouldn’t have to live in an environment like this. It is just disgraceful and disgusting to see people being rude to them.

More than 80 homeless people are sleeping rough in central Auckland each night, according to a new survey. But the group which conducted the survey says the true figure is likely to be higher, with up to 150 people estimated to be sleeping rough within a 3km radius of the Sky Tower. A team of 30 volunteers found rough sleepers in doorways, bus shelters, cars, public toilets, parks, building sites, and under bridges. The survey is the second annual street census conducted by the Auckland Rough Sleepers Initiative.

Therefore, I believe we should go around and donate to the homeless people. Also we should donate a lot more money and make the prices of houses lower so it is easier for people to afford them. Also we can help them by treating them the way you would want to be treated.
