Since there was no one to play with Sirius went on long walks. One day he got up extra early and went to his granddad and told him that he would be back by breakfast. He set off on an adventure to find something new. He wasn’t successful at finding anything but on his way back he accidentally stumbled over a pile of pebbles. He saw a gleam of maroon among the pebbles. He laughed with delight! He had found a maroon amulet sitting on a pile of cherry wood.
He put it on and he went back home. He loved the colour maroon and thought it would go nice with his clothes. He had loved it so much he held it firmly while he slept. Suddenly at 11:59pm a magical dog appeared out of the amulet.
He was so stunned when he saw the dog. Every day at 11:59pm a new animal came out. On Monday it was the dog, on Tuesday was a cat and the cycle continued for several more days. While he was hunting for more stuff he found some cages and odd looking jars. He put the animals in the cages. Every day he looked at the stunning animals admiring them with each glance.
One day he saw one of the cages was empty. He ran as fast as he could to the exact place where he had found the amulet. He saw the dog sitting there waiting for him. When he looked into the dog's glistening eyes he knew what he must do.
He ran faster than a paragon falcon and grabbed all of the animals’ cages and set them free. “Be free animals!” he exclaimed and all of the animals that could fly, flew so high their wings looked like a firework display. Sirius never again caged an other animal in his life.
